Thank you for considering Woden Ultrasound for your patients' diagnostic imaging. We're a dedicated ultrasound clinic in Phillip, in the heart of the Woden Valley, focused exclusively on ultrasound — and we accept all referrals.

Why refer to Woden Ultrasound

  • Experienced imaging — our principal sonographer, Katrina Stevens, brings over 35 years of sonography experience across general, musculoskeletal, vascular, obstetric and small-parts ultrasound.

  • Latest technology — every scan is performed on the Philips EPIQ Elite with Elevate software, including shear wave elastography for liver assessment.

  • Prompt appointments — we aim to see most patients quickly, often the same day, with minimal wait times.

  • Radiologist-reported — every study is reviewed by a radiologist before the report is issued.

  • All referrals accepted — standard referral forms from any practitioner are welcome.

How to refer

  • Your patient can book online and upload your referral at the time of booking via our portal.

  • We accept all standard referral forms.

  • We're connected to HealthLink for secure electronic messaging. You can send eReferrals to our HealthLink EDI wodenult, and your patients' results are returned directly to your practice management software via HealthLink.

  • For urgent referrals, please phone the clinic directly so we can prioritise the appointment.

Turnaround and results

  • Urgent scans — we contact the referrer within approximately 4 hours.

  • Routine scans — reports are sent within 24–48 hours.

  • Results are delivered through a secure, encrypted platform directly into your practice management software.

A comprehensive range of ultrasound examinations: musculoskeletal, abdominal, renal, pelvic and gynaecological, early pregnancy and dating, breast, thyroid and neck, testicular and scrotal, soft-tissue lumps, paediatric, and vascular/Doppler studies (carotid, venous/DVT, and aortic and arterial). Patient billing
We are a mixed-billing practice. We bulk bill Pensioner Concession Card holders for most scans, with a valid referral and Medicare card. All other patients are informed of the total cost, Medicare rebate and any out-of-pocket expense before their scan.
